Timeless golf that remains enjoyable and intriguing more than 100 years since it was initially created.

Created by Donald Ross, one of the most celebrated architects in golf’s history, Elmhurst offers the key elements that make a course stand the test of time. Elmhurst remains engaging regardless of how many times you play it and that reveals something new with every round.

Great golf is based on a course that’s one you can enjoy and be challenged by regardless of whether you’re a new player, a mid-handicap, or competing for the Club Championship. That’s exactly what Elmhurst has been offering golfers for a century.

Course Architect: Donald Ross

Elmhurst’s founders hired the best of the day in Golf Hall of Fame Architect Donald Ross. Now considered one of the most renowned golf designers in the history of the game, Ross is noted the world over for his fabled designs including Pinehurst No. 2, Seminole, and Oakland Hills, among hundreds of other creations.

Walkable

There’s nothing better than grabbing your clubs and walking a course, talking with friends between shots, pondering the way you’re going to attack the pin on your approach, or how you’ll recover from that greenside bunker.

Course restoration

In recent years, the course has been restored under the guidance of Ron Pritchard, renowned for his historically accurate work on Ross courses throughout North America. Pritchard created a Master Plan for the club in 2004 that continues to be followed. Restoration has continued at the club with work provided by Riley Johns and Dan Philcox whose work can be noted at clubs like Kananaskis, and Cabot Links.

“Elmhurst has a reputation of being a challenge to the most elite players as well as an enjoyable and fair test for average golfers.”
